DIRECTOR, PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

SUMMARY
The Director, Program Management & Business Development is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing customer programs, projects, and business development initiatives. This role involves ensuring successful execution of projects, driving growth, and fostering strong customer relationships in the dynamic and competitive electronics manufacturing sector. You will be responsible for management and development of the Program Management team in addition to supporting the acquisition acquiring of new customers for Vietnam factory.
This position reports to the General Manager, Vietnam.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective program management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Lead and mentor a team of program managers
  • Oversee and coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain) and third parties/vendors to ensure flawless execution
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture, promoting continuous learning and development.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers.
  • Continuously manage and limit risk for both and Customer (e.g. material obsolescence, liabilities, aged inventory, payments)
  • Negotiate and resolve key issues with the customers (commercial, financial and project) and provide direction and coordination of other resources to resolve
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electronics manufacturing industry for the Vietnam factory
  • Support and drive Global Business Development Team to generate organic growth with existing customers and support new customers acquisition (host potential customers, facility tours etc).

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10+ years Program Management knowledge and experience preferably in a customer facing role
  • Experience of leading and developing team
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronics Manufacturing or Manufacturing Assembly is preferred, ideally with experience with high mix/low-mid volume production
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience with product introduction processes and change management (development, industrialization, or similar)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Broad understanding of business processes including development, commercial and supply chain considerations
  • Able to work effectively in a multi-national team environment
